Update: Octave Shifter 2

It's official, the Octave Shifter 2 Audio Unit has been released today. A major update from older versions with better sound quality, a low latency processing mode and an extensive user manual available for download. And best of all, it's freeware.

After months of polishing I'm getting ready to release new versions of Octave Shifter, Reverse Sampler and of course Diatonic Shifter. All three Audio Units will be updated to the 2.0 version number indicating major changes under the hood.
There are some exciting times ahead and I'm looking forward to expanding the userbase of my DSP work.

I've been very busy lately working on new features for both the Octave Shifter and Diatonic Shifter Audio Units and the release of major new versions is drawing close. I will need a few more days to iron out bugs and polish existing features so expect the actual release in one or two weeks.
Other than the Audio Units I'm working on some side projects which take up some time. I'm not feeling too well because of sickness the past weeks and I'm not progressing as much as I'd like. Also, I've temporarily lost interest in areas like graphics design. Hopefully I'll recover soon.

I wrote an article on optimizing Mac OS X Mail.app performance which has some good tips for getting Mail back into pristine shape. This article is the first one written using the online Wiki Text to HTML converter which has really helped me speed up my writing.
