Maintenance: Webserver Compression

There will be some maintenance of the webserver software today and I'll enable HTTP compression using mod_deflate, so if you experience any trouble afterwards please let me know.
The reasons behind this switch are simple: first of all, a test run on the site's content proves that there is going to be a massive 50% to 80% of savings in bandwidth by enabling compression and since there's a boatload of spare CPU available on the server machine, trading in some CPU for more bandwidth isn't really a problem.
This will mean that pages will load almost two to three times faster than before, a nice result of a small configuration change. I will try to workaround older client limitations like Netscape 4 for instance.
Update: the compression is now fully enabled, please let me know if you experience any problems with pages loading incorrectly.
