Update: CGI Scripting Tips for Bash or SH
Posted by Frank Schoep on 1st February, 2009 at 20:02
I've updated the article on CGI Scripting using bash or sh thanks to some helpful feedback by Ken Butcher. All example commands and scripts are now working properly and the wget client example is updated to make sure no output is written to disk or log files.
Update: Wiki Text to HTML prepackaged ZIP
Posted by Frank Schoep on 27th October, 2008 at 21:39
It's been relatively quiet for the past months, but everything is going well. I've been rather busy on a lot of freelance projects which took up time I'd otherwise spend on Forever For Now and related sites.
Because I received a lot of questions about the Wiki Text to HTML sources, I added a prepackaged ZIP file to the project page.
Site maintenance: resuming normal operation
Posted by Frank Schoep on 18th March, 2008 at 12:04
The denial-of-service attack that has been going on for weeks now has finally come to an end, so we'll now resume normal operation.
I've been pretty busy finishing up some freelance projects this month, but they're all successfully completed now. This leaves me with some time to work on a new project which I'll hopefully be able to introduce in the upcoming weeks. Keep your eyes peeled!
Site maintenance: DDoS attack measures
Posted by Frank Schoep on 18th February, 2008 at 14:16
One of the servers hosting Forever For Now and a fews other websites has been under DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack for over a week now. While this attack currently does not have the power to take down the server itself, I'm taking measures to prevent escalation.
You might not be able to access Forever For Now via anonymous proxy-servers for the time being, but as soon as I'm able to assess the situation in more detail I'll start shrinking the server blacklist.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I've already pinpointed the exact organization and reason behind the attack and will take measures to have them seize their actions.
